    Why not? It is the easiest way to start with. I still have very good results with recording using the onboard mics of my Sony: (in opposite of all the consumer electronics Sony produced over the last years this Sony PCM M-10 is still a "No Brainer") Some of the recordings I did with this...

    Because they sound so goddamn ugly... If your mix is sounding good on these speakers, it will sound good on anything. That's the trick...

    Ah... What the heck! Now that we've ruined J!M's thread and talking about speakers, I can mention that these ones are on top of my wanting list: The Yamaha NS-10M's.... They are world famous in every studio.

    Yep, Like those famous and mighty solid Minumus speakers.... I still have them in use for several purposes and never let me down. They are still true little miracles.

    Get it J!M... It is worth those 50 bucks. I bought my SX-424 years ago in thriftstore for only €5,00.... Some serious issues showed up with it last year and I've sold it to someone (for a decent price) who wanted this piece for his collection: Still love this piece.....
