    Full Or Quasi Comp

Hi Wayne, I use this switch here. Also will handle a WOPL'd 700 as I have them on my 400/700 "Hybrid" with the 400 faceplate. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/691-PA301 It does the job.. little heavy on the push force needed, but so far no issues with the inrush current upon power up.

Can't Burn A CD that will play

Wav.. mp3..flac.. etc etc - all of those formats imply that the actual reading of the CD data is akin to a "data" type of CD (or DVD.. just more MB's to store there), versus audio which conforms to the original "Compact Disc" for music all 44.1khz sampling rate and whatnot. In summary and...

Can't Burn A CD that will play

No shit Tony. The Ford can play digital as well. BUT can the Oppo do that or is it restricted to just audio / SACD or not? If the oppo can play wav files direct, then fine and now it comes down to media selection, multi versus single session and all of that shit...

Can't Burn A CD that will play

Oh yeah.. definitely. I can't recall which, but they either came from HD Tracks or I might have recorded them via Goldwave and the Xonar. Sooo.. what can your oppo play as far as formats? Seems from reading here that is the least common denominator as far as what we should have you set your...

Can't Burn A CD that will play

He wants to be able to play it in the Oppo.. does that support other formats or not? If it doesn't then yes audio CD is the right answer.

Can't Burn A CD that will play

Nero's definitely the best if you don't have it built in. Good choice. You want to do an audio CD.. redbook.. whatever. Like I said before however, don't skimp on the CDR's and get a well-known brand that offers the widest compatibility with older players.

Can't Burn A CD that will play

The kind of CD-R matters as far as compatibility. I've heard also that burning one at slower speeds might help. CD-RW's are a crapshoot, so stay away from them. Far as the best I've heard TDK brands get high marks.

Mark goes at it again... just bought a PL700/II!

For me, it's just too easy to touch one the wrong way, and the next thing you know the cover itself is shorting right to the collector of either end of the row. I prefer removing them.. too easy to physically push into one when moving amps around.
