Kind of what I was thinking as well... I was going with round hole for woofer and build custom grills. I plan on painting the front baffle with the gun metal grey and put the 3/4 angle aluminum trim around the edges to match the mid cabs to make them look a bit like they go with the altec mids...

So working on sub design.... think I narrowed it down to 2 choices, round port or square port, what you guys thing?

For this tuning on these cabs as far as the port goes I am at a 6" round port, about 6" long..... lets say instead of 1 port I wanted to do 2 ports. Would that mean the size of the 6" set up would be cut in half t give me same frequency? Another words I would use 2 - 3" round ports about 3"...

I can't quite make out the model number of the kramer you used I looked at about 7 or 8 kramer stuff on ebay and everything I saw had a crap load of outputs but I need inputs.. model numbers would sure make things easier to research or check out..... same would go for db systems

Yes 6X6" with a flange, only $4 ea. They got here today. I have to put grills on these as they sit on the floor so been wrestling with a few ideas, I don't want to buy those ready made off the shelf grills. A couple ideas would mean better to mount the woofers flush instead or recessed like I...

Yes thinking along those lines looking at this maybe modified?... 3 deck in and outs would be excellent, wonder if some of those noise reduction and sound processer jacks could be wired just for input and everything go through the line out then line in would cover the recording...

Not sure f those would support a recording deck hook up? Lets say I have my cassette deck plugged in one of these and my cd player, how could a switch it to record? know what I mean?

My C1 is out of inputs and I don't have enough inputs. I have 2 tape decks, 2 turn tables, a CD player, a tuner, and an XM receiver. I still want to hook up another tape deck, a tablet/laptop, I plan on eventually adding a video projector, and it would be nice to have 1 or 2 extras for what ever...

Well this is a mock up (the one on the right) of what I will build the port on the mock up here is 5" but speaker is actual 18"

I did my final calculations for port length, my box with braces and every thing subtracted come in at 8.255 cu ft. so for 6" port at 30hz length comes in at 5.866 or the other end I was thinking 33hz length would be 4.086...
