    Resurrected a Customized WOPL 400

Yeah, I did use TP3 for a ground on both boards.

From GND, TP3 to OUT on the backplane boards, I'm getting, believe it or not, left 66.8vdc, right 12.94vdc.

    Sorry, 0 offset, both channels.

From the bias test points on the board, to the respective + speaker posts I get open circuit. Nothing. On the top +15v point, I get +15v. On the bottom -15v point, I get 1.4v. Also, I'm not getting any voltage to the leads that provide power to the meter light-fuses.

I didn't check the bias. I'll do it right now. I thought the fuses would make everything moot. But I'll put the meter on it now.

So I guess I'm dead in the water until I can get more backplane fuses, correct?

    Resurrected a Customized WOPL 400

So how and why would those backplane fuses blow?

My other problem, however, is that the relay isn't working.

Yeah, dah, of course. Now I understand. There are two fuses on each board. On both boards, the top fuse has continuity, but not the bottom. The bottom has no continuity.

10-4. Gonna do so right now. Wait, I'm not sure what you mean by backplane fuses. Where are they? Sorry to be so completely ignorant.

It's just sitting there on the bench, nothing hooked to it. And I assume all fuses are okay, since it will recycle each time I start over. 15 volt source? Where would I check that?

Yeah, like I said, it flashes, but then goes completely dark. And if I turn the Variac on and off, it doesn't flash again. The bulb stays dark. But if I shut the whole thing down and wait a minute, the cycle repeats itself. It'll flash again, then go dark.

    Yes, all three are intact.

I double and triple checked everything, then double-checked my dim bulb tester, just to be thorough, using another old beater amp. With the Sony amp, the tester worked as expected, and after the initial bright flash from the bulb, it just kind of glowed for as long as I left the whole system on...

Other than connecting the meters, I think I'm ready to put some juice to this thing. However, I spent all day with a magnifying glass in my hand going over everything I can still see. I've been unable to see anything amiss, but if any of you do, please let me know. I think I'm gonna take...

Christ, yet another glorious fart of ignorance (and I eat a lot of Mexican food, so the aroma won't be coming out as Kim Kardashian's next fragrance — or will it? "New!, from the dumbest twat on Earth — Eau De Roach Coach Tijuana — now available at a Flea Market near you."?). For the relay...
