    New martin Logans

First off, let me apologize for the bad pics. I had to move the speakers into this position to take the pics because I rotate them into usage. Also, no matter how hard I tried, I could not orient the one pic correctly or make all of them, larger. I still have a lot to learn about using my new...

    New martin Logans

JustMike, yes, I have a complete and fully working Servo-Stat system with the correct 18" sub and amplifier. I will try to get some pics up tomorrow. However, I just purchased an iPad pro and I'm just starting to learn how to use it. Hopefully, it will be easy for me to post the pictures...

    New martin Logans

Those are awesome looking stats but like you, they cost more then I would spend, at this point in my life. However, I sure would like to hear them! I still remember paying $2,200 for the Sequels which at the time, was a pretty significant amount of money. I bought a new pair of Magnapans...

    New martin Logans

Over the years, Martin Logan has made some really great speakers. I'm still using a pair of Sequels that I purchased new around 1982. Still working great, inspite of the fact that I use to drive them pretty hard. I now mainly use them for "easier going music" and use other speakers, for the rock...

    PL400 question

I'll second that. I just updated my WOPL 400 with MJ21196 outputs and MJ15024 drivers and it worked perfectly, without doing any matching.

    Favourite turntable

    Here's another Sony that's one of my favorites. It's a model 2251 with an SME 3009 arm.:happy3:

    Lets talk Pre-amps

Although I prefer to use dedicated pre-amps, I've had good luck using the pre outs on receivers, if that's your question. I don't have any expiereince with that Marantz but generally, I do like their sound. I currently run my pair of ML Sequels through a Balanced Audio Technology VK-5i or...

    Watts Abundant Protect Board

Thanks Joe for the info. I figured that's what he did however, I got thrown off a little when the two channels measured differently. I'm glad all that was required was a little "tweaking" of the relay, to fix it.

    Watts Abundant Protect Board

Thanks for the welcome Nav! Regarding the thread on the 2205, let me give it some thought. I don't think there's anything I could add that hasn't already been documented by gregory, during his outstanding restoration. I just finished an Audio Research D90-b that would have been a great...

    Watts Abundant Protect Board

I hear you and you are absolutely right, it's working great, but there's more that could be done, to further improve it. I'm going to order the Rev B LED kit and during the install, I'll make the changes. In the meantime, I have a McIntosh 2205 that needs a recap so that's my next project...

    Watts Abundant Protect Board

No I did not. I installed it just as the instructions said on White Oaks site. When I purchased the Rev C board from Joe, it was when he had just announced it so, I'm not sure if his improved grounding scheme had even been discussed. Then again, maybe I just missed it. I just finished...

    Watts Abundant Protect Board

Thanks Lee. I did see and read that thread earlier however, I wasn't sure how much of it should (or could) be utilized with the protect board. I'll just use your recommendation and keep it simple by using a single grounding point at the star. Thanks again....Gary

    Watts Abundant Protect Board

Thanks for the welcome. I'm no pro when it comes to electronic repair however, I'm usually able to stumble through fixing most problems, given enough time and solder!

    Watts Abundant Protect Board

I've been viewing this site for a few years but more recently, became a member. I'm an old fart who's heavy into audio listening and repair, firearms/hunting and classic car restoration. In any event, this is my first post and of course, I have a question. I'm in the process of adding...
