My TT is and always has been placed directly (damn near) in front of my speakers. Not even 3 ft away. No turntable I have ever owned no matter how high I have the music playing has skipped. Never any rumble whatever. It sitting on a very, very cheap table that I have had for 25 years. I don't know how it doesn't rumble or skip. I have actually thought about building them and selling them because it's such a strange thing. Nothing special at all about the table. No shock absorbsion of any kind. Concrete, carpet, cheap ass press wood and cheap ass metal.
