Good person as well as good musician, from all accounts. The Moodies are a favorite of mine to this day and he was an integral part of the sound. RIP, it was a great run.
That was sad news for me Perry. The Moodies are an all time favorite of mine. Watched the Moody's concert at Montreax 1991 last night on Amazon Prime. Great concert with many good vocals by John Lodge. Both he and Justin Hayward looked so young back then and put on amazing performances. RIP John Lodge...
One of my Moody's favorites, still to this day, is Go Now from 1965. It was not done by the later lineup of players in the Moody's but great nonetheless. Too bad it was poorly recorded and mastered, surprising because it was recorded on the London record label (unless they wanted it to sound that way).
