Just a shot in the dark here.
I have a nice pair of AR 9 speakers that I have had a while.
Moved into a different house 3 years ago and have tried but they just will not fit our current living room.
Cannot get the proper clear space on the sides for the woofers to work right.
For someone not familiar the AR 9 has 12" woofers mounted on both sides near the bottom of the speaker.
They need about 3 feet on each side to sound right.
The LS and LSI are the same speaker but single woofer firing to the front.
Any body have or know somebody that would be interested in a trade ?
Oh yeah , these require a decent amount of power to drive properly.
4 12" drivers sucks up the juice rather quickly.

I have both AR9 and AR9LS (were LS, I changed the crossover to drop the upper midrange 3 dB drop using 2 Ohm series resistor. Sounds better than the 2.5 Ohm suggested (for 4 dB drop ) elsewhere. I just refurbished my LSs, so I'm playing with them. I noticed the LSs can have a similar issue with the space in front....a notch in the middle of the room! Uggg! I verified phase of the drivers, all fine. Placing speakers for low frequencies is not easy. I'm going to try with the room spectrum analyzer white noise generator with the wired mic. Should make this task easier. BTW, I use Phase Linear 400, but I think I'll put the AR9s in there with the phase Linear 700. I love those.

I used a rebuilt Pioneer 1250 with mine.
As good as the Pioneer is it lacks the shear horse power to drive the AR 9's to their full potential.
The gentleman I purchased mine from was using a Yamaha with 120 Watts for the top end and a Yamaha amp with 200 watts per channel driving the bottom end.
Was very impressed with their capabilities.
Good luck getting your room sorted out.
