The 200ohm resistor and the 36kohm resistors on Main 1 Are the resistors we use to change the gain.
Look at the C1 Service Bulletin. You can only change the gain on main 1. You can read the SB if you are so inclined.
Main 2 does not change. So, main 2 has the 200 ohm but no place for the 36K and I'm sticking with my RL-11. With the Vertical Bi-amp
Hey, I didn't write the stuff.......
I misspoke earlier, I am running Passive
Horizontal Bi-Amping. As mentioned above, this is how Martin Logan tells you how to do it and Active Biamping is a no-no since the speaker internal crossovers cannot be bypassed. This also explains why the sound sucked. The 2 channels on the Carver C1 are not gain matched. If ya want to argue, call Bob and call Martin Logan. The Acurus is set up for this. The C1 is probably OK if I went back to regular speaker hook-ups but I LIKES me 2 WOPL's playing together and sounding SWEET.....
When I was running my Horns, they were so sensitive that we regularly changed the gain on Main 1 (Sniff's EZ Gain Board) and if swapping out speakers, all you had to do was go to main 2 and it is always in the stock gain setting.
For the Bi-amp naysayers....................
