Hi my name is Tim and I just wanted to give a well deserved shout out to Mark and Joe for bringing my 1974 four fin PL400 back from the grave. This old amp has been in my family for over 50 years. I use it to drive a pair of AR LST's. The speakers, amp and PL4000 series I pre-amp were all purchased together on the same day in 1974. This amp received the WOA Full Rebuild and I couldn't be more impressed or happier with the results. It sounds amazing and worth every $ spent and then some. Anyone considering upgrading their PL amplifier with WOA components will not be disappointed. Thanks again to Mark and Joe!

Welcome Aboard Timson,
I lusted over a set-up like yours in 1974 :). Super nice then, even better with the WOPL 400 now.
I remember how nice the AR LST's sound. Congratulations on bringing your system back to life.
Enjoy !

Me too , I'm an AR fan . I have AR 9 , AR 6 and AR 3a improved .
Furthermore I have a pair of Allison One ( same sound of AR )
My favourite are AR 3a . Powered by PL and Carver .
Ciao
Marco

I am working on bringing back a set of AR3s now. Designed a replacement crossover that I will be offering soon. Biggest part of the task was sourcing the 16R rheostats used in the crossover to replace the useless, original Aetna-Pollak ones that always fail.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. I'm also driving a pair of AR11's with a Carver M400t that I plan on replacing with another WOPL 400 sometime. My pre-amp is a Carver C-16 that replaced my PL4000 Series II due to a lightning strike at my house years ago. The C-16 works quite well actually. Maybe a C-19 or another PL Series II is in my future, if I can find one worth picking up.
