Update:

I think (after 2 dozen oysters, two red ales, a Manhattan and now some Larceny, neat), that this may be as close as it gets for me. Got the Tascam UH-7000 back out, hooked it up to mom's iMac, reloaded all of my hard drive files into JRiver version 26, and - with the help of the dbx 200 - have it hooked up to the Pro-Ject pop-and-click box so I can run either the turntable or the computer through it (if I'm listening to digitized albums that had noise/pops). Also downloaded a new version of Martin Hairer's really nice Amadeus recording software and started recording a few more albums this week. Right now, everything is running through the Audible Illusions tube line stage to the Counterpoint NPS-100 driving the single driver speaks I got from Louis and the Parasound HCA-1000 pushing the mid-bass drivers in the LSAs.

And that's Johnny effin' Cash sitting right there, on the turntable:

One note - Nando: I recorded a Pro-Ject click-and-pop-corrected file of that Concert for Bangla Desh concert I asked you to run through your Sugar Cube a couple of years ago. I then played it back through the Pro-Ject a second time to see what happens with the dual process as you asked. Things got weird in a hurry, especially with George's lead guitar. Gonna play with that idea some more but I'm not sure it's a process I'd consider doing more than once per recording based on that test.

...but right now it's American III and American IV and did I say, that's Johnny effin' Cash sitting on the turntable?
