Is there any service info available for this amp outside of what manufacturer has? I am trying to find service info for a retired tech that says carver stated they would be glad to repair this extremely heavy amp if he would ship it in. He wants to to repair it but does not have any info on it...

All of the 8 agx fuses are blown. DBT is plugged into a variac. I replaced them and without fuses in circuit DBT is Dim. With fuses bulb is bright and I have around 7dvc going to speaker terminals. Can I test the amplifier without output transistors in the circuit? Thanks

As far as speaker relay engaging, I was only using the variac in circuit, slowing bringing it up.

trying to be clear on bypassing relays. I am to bypass the rear relay (speaker relay) and middle relay. Front relay I should remove all wires from that relay. Correct? I will take a pic and send.

To be clear I am to d/c all wires from the front relay, Leave the middle relay as is. bypass the rear relay? This supplys power to the power amp board only? Power up with variac and DBT in circuit? With these in circuit where do I test DC offset? Bias measurement? What should the signal voltage be?

I hooked up a source to amp and get no sound from either channel, left channel meter does jump around, I assume signal makes it to that point. Can someone help me troubleshoot and locate source of signal loss. Amp powers up and speaker relay engages, happy thanksgiving to all

Are the resistors 39ohm 2watt? If so I was checking mouser and their resistors seems very small in comparison. Ideas appreciated

Glen all of the caps have already been removed. I did pull a leg on the diode and fired amp up same issue continues on the right LED.

Will do thanks for the info now translating that to the board is the challenge. I am assuming this is the LED board correct? So sorry to see you dealing with the tropical weather while the rest of us are handling the winter weather even in southeast US. LOL

When powering on my amp, both gains turned fully CCW the right channel LED is initially at the far left. Once the relay engages the right channel LED light jumps to approx 60% of the scale and stays there. When I turn the gain knob it appears the LED light moves up on the scale but only after...
