Not that I haven’t considered that, and it is a very nice deck, but- big reels of tape are sooooo expensive! I fell in love with it, but given the cost of tapes I bought the X-7R. Yeh, I know I can use 7” reels with it, but I don’t see why I would want the option of large reels if I never wanted...
