Northwind's 400 to WOPL 500

Man, he's gonna be in WOPL heaven....

You can't imagine how excited I am getting, well actually... you probably can. Only thing that I can think top it would be my very own 1000B showing up at the door someday, I probably would have a heartattack

Good lookin board Jer....we do differ on some small details, I like to stand my TO-39's off a bit, don't know if it makes any difference though...

I was gonna be flippant and ask "How do you know" but that would be really stupid, even I can see there is no C18!!

A lot less hangover with really, really good whiskey...

Bridge ringed with bypass caps and installed (Ron you now have a 50A versus 25)... Main power wired up, caps in, switch in....

Rail voltage around 82'ish.... lil hot but not too much!

Tomorrow will be the "push" to get it done, methinks...

Me too Jer. Ain't gonna get the lottery amp done. Tomorrow. Gonna head to the sack. Jazz is insisting. The 2nd Crown XO did it.

Awesome Jer! Will this be running 8A or 10A line fuses and 10A power fuse also? How is your cooling idea working out or does that need to be addressed after final assembly and power up? What does the 82 rail voltage translate to in potential watts per channel? My CV's are already groaning (they are crowded around the monitor like bitchy little girls all scared 'n shit LMAO)

8's for the rails, 10 for the line. Gotta see when it's back together on adding fans. 82 volts hmmm.. dunno but this will get dummy loads hooked up and the shit beat outta it before I send 'er, hehe.

Took me half an hour to clean out all the old heat sink spooge... whoever worked on it last must have used the whole vial. Nasty stuff, heheh...

Gotta get the BP's on temporarily so I can drill the bottom holes for the offset Q6 hole that these 4 finners have...

Jer the coordinates for that Q6 mounting hole center referenced to the center of the bottom most TO-3 mounting hole in the column just to the left of it is [1.000, 0.391] That is 1.000" to the right and 0.391" up in English.

This applies for both the left and the right channel. I will add this to the installation notes.

I guess nobody read the installation guide which said "dimensions available on request" :-) Update attached.

Or we just figure it out, which 9 out of 10 times works for me...

Other side done.... But also Joe, that's one of the docs I have up right now, might not be the latest but hey...
