Well instead of having those tweeters hanging in my speaker boxes by 1 screw have found some that fit perfectly. These came from marantz speakers and seem to have better response. Nice and neat now.

If you're seriously considering hooking up these to your forthcoming WOPL, then, I just gotta find you some serious speakers.
I am so sorry, but those things won't last 5 minutes...... :(
 
Derek's speakers would easily last more than 5 minutes at half power through the new amp.

Derek: Want to have a contest? You could video tape the speaker load test as part of the contest.

I won't even get to 9 o'clock on the dial. I'm betting even 8 o'clock may be a struggle, but I'm still going to be grinning from ear to ear. George cannot stress enough how dangerous this amp is going to be :laughing9:

Yeah its called a locking mechanism on the volume dial. A video of them popping would be amusing, however I don't want to damage the amp so will avoid that at all costs. Besides I have never blown a speaker and I'm 34 years old, what a great run of luck that is. Like hard drives, have never lost data and always gotten it off the drive before it completely dies.

yeh..... the first re-wire was when i first got 'em 'coz they were buggered, then the 2nd re-wire was when i wanted to see how much they'll take to blow up.
i know now, so there won't be a third time. ;)
