I need a Harley Davidson part and there is only one in the USA. It is P/N 17011-01KB (a gasket set) and it is at Tim Surdyke Gold Star Harley Davidson, 2435 US-67 Festus, Missouri. They have some crazy policy of not selling anything to anyone outside their "Dealer Territory" which is a 30 mile radius.
The cost for the item is $247.49. I would be happy to pay the tax and reimburse all expenses necessary to anyone near Festus, MO who can pick this item up for me.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark, you can't order them from your local dealer? Not being some obscure old part they should be able to get it for you (as long as you aren't in a hurry??).

I assume you have head gaskets?

This kit has complete engine gaskets except the heads.

I currently work at H-D and will look to see what I can find internally and perform a Dealer search.
I was at Adamec HD in Jacksonville yesterday and the Gasket Kit was NIS. Andrew, the parts man, did a HD corporate parts search and it came back Obsolete.
I can order the two Head Gaskets (P/N 17691-08K and 17692-08K) at HD online, but the price is $46.46 each. Unless you can get me the dealer pricing...

I knew there was help on this Forum. Is there anything we cannot do!?

If that number was obsolete, did they not have a "Superseded By" number? I have a hard time believing that they no longer carry a full gasket set for a V-Rad.....

This gasket set is no longer in production and none of the H-D distributors have stock.

All remaining stock was sold to Vintage Parts: https://www.vpartsinc.com/motorcycle-rec-vehicles/harley-davidson

Unfortunately, VP no longer have stock as well.

After running a part number search, multiple dealers show stock of this gasket kit. However, the accuracy of this search is limited due to frequency of updates.

PM me your email address and I'll send you the dealer list with phone numbers.

I have also asked several colleagues that hoard older parts for racing efforts if they have any stock and will let you know if anything turns up.

Funny how this post became about coffee...
Anyway, just to close the loop on this thread - with the assistance of member Hexis22, who sent me a list of potential HD dealers that showed stock in the database; I found my Engine Gasket Kit. At the bottom of the list of 24 dealers, the third to the last dealer in McAllen, TX had the part and Carlos, in parts, located the Kit and sent it to me today.
Thanks to Hexis22 and everybody who posted.
