Bet this album goes up in value more than the silver in 10 years, lol.
That's true but...
The price seems a bit too high for a new vinyl LP and if you buy it to keep it and don't plan to sell it in the future then it doesn't matter if it will go up in value... doesn't it?
I bet that, with some patience, i might find an original first press in great shape for a lot less than that, though, which i bet it will be a great and pristine quality listen anyway, as it was produced when the mastertape was freshly recorded.

But maybe it's just myself who generally prefers to "go fetish" by trying to own old/first presses. :p

If nobody has the bucks to spend on it, what would be the value then? Silver in itself is money
And your successors won't recognize the value of your record collection. It will go on CL in the free section. Silver and gold on the other hand gets recognized immediately for its value.

Well the album arrived today, very well packed and nicely packaged with lots of extra goodies.
First listening impressions are stunning. Dynamics are really good and surface noise is nonexistent, dead quiet between notes. Can’t testify as to the faithfulness to the original master but it sounds fantastic. 203F9494-2B50-480D-88BC-39E7BAFD9BC8.jpeg 83E3BEAA-337B-4E92-BB74-4C0924BA919B.jpeg 652FAB2A-E0F2-4C73-8B5F-D00FFFD8B93F.jpeg 4399C23E-825B-4182-B0E0-896ECAB0D8A4.jpeg
