put on new handles...
build a pair of voight pipes ...( i will probably regret this one)
got a bid on another schiit dac...ebay...
hope i live long enough to complete this!!!

The brand new chassis you purchased has the meter switch hole already in it right above the RCA input jacks and below the output binding posts.

i saw that....i am out of switches...ordered some ..put my last switch in the 4 fin ...will put the 8 fin in the same place as yours!!!
and probably move the 4 fin!!!

i have noticed...
on the 8 fin...which has been recapped...
ps cap upgrade...led upgrade...dcp added...
first power on of the day only....produces a noticable hum until the dcp relay engages....has done it since i got it from rob...i kept thinking that each upgrade would eleminate it...it didnt...
it performs as it is supposed to...
ideas???

How can it produce a speaker hum if the DCP relay is open? Shouldn't be able to. So, open it up, and observe the relay. Clear plastic. Can you see it engage and disengage?

understood...
after 2 or 3 seconds you can hear the relay latch...the hum goes away...it only does it first power up...then no more...
when my switches and bias transistors come in...i can compare...i need to change out input jacks too...i bought 2 pair from watts...the 8 fins jacks are very loose...sometimes cut out and i have to wiggle input cable....
