You can vote about 10-15 times in 24 hours, the best way is to pick your 5 favorites and vote then X out the results to return to the voting page, rinse and repeat.

I'll shamelessly ask you for your vote for Yes on behalf of my friends at Yesfans.com.

Yes is in 2nd place behind Chicago in fan voting. The top 5 bands would richly deserve this, but it's a shame that Cheap Trick is 23 million votes behind #5 even so. Fan voting doesn't determine induction chances alone, previous inductees and Hall board members also vote and use the fan voting to select new inductees.

Still, Yes and The Cars are VERY CLOSE. I like just about all of the acts listed anyway but this should be Yes' year finally IMO.

Chicago 23.47% (37494193 votes)
Yes 16.17% (25842505 votes)
The Cars 16.17% (25833130 votes)
Deep Purple 15.92% (25432902 votes)
Steve Miller 15.92% (25432020 votes)
Janet Jackson 5.90% (9426540 votes)
Cheap Trick 1.37% (2185740 votes)
The Spinners 1.27% (2026703 votes)
Chaka Khan 1.15% (1831454 votes)
Chic 0.83% (1327510 votes)
The J.B.'s 0.59% (935977 votes)
N.W.A 0.41% (655907 votes)
Nine Inch Nails 0.33% (523808 votes)
The Smiths 0.28% (455123 votes)
Los Lobos 0.24% (379799 votes)

I could too, but I think Steve Miller has waited quite a while too...

Quite frankly, I don't see what the hell the waiting and frivolity is about...it's a damned museum and baseball players get a better shot (well, Pete Rose will need a lawyer someday).

The band name is short for N----- With Attitude, featuring Ice-T, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre and I think MC Ren, an 80s 'gangsta rap' act that is the subject of the recent movie 'Straight Outta Compton'.

NWA got in, Yes didn't.

Cheap Trick did, however.

Steve Miller, Chicago and Deep Purple round out the five inductions.

The Cars will soon...Cheap Trick and The Cars were IMO the two biggest American bands to debut in the mid to late seventies (Boston not withstanding), Pet Benatar and John Mellencamp not too far behind.

I heard on the news about the inductees this year that the voting public get a total of one vote and the other 600 selected members of the music industry that are on the voting committee get one vote each, too. So the 7 Billion people in the world can easily be overruled by the 600 members of the voting committee. Just doesn't seem right but we don't want a ground swell for some unworthy entity allowing them to get in to the R&RHoF

Pete got denied re-instatement again today....
Excellent!!!

I believe he deserves to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame, maybe even first ballot...after he has passed. He has just not put forth the public image of someone that understands what he has done wrong. He is still active in many baseball activities and is signing his way to a very nice income and apparently enjoying every minute of it. I'm all for his induction posthumously.

It was actually a 'stuff the ballot box' affair for the public vote and you were allowed 15 entries of five selections per day, maybe per device/IP address/phone even...that's why I type Vote Now And Vote OFTEN! in the title.

Good old fashioned politics in that sense, except that it's a joke anyway and we tried for Yes.

I just don't want to go into it much further, everybody is pretty disgusted at Yesfans about it.

Yes will make it. I think the hall should have a long list of folks to induct and they need to have a show each year for that so they should try to induct folks before they croak out on us. Let them get in the hall while alive. Sure there need to be some posthumous awards, too as there are a lot of HoF quality rockers that have passed. But to induct some live youngster instead of a geriatric band is not right.

The hall needs about 300 more inductees but that can't be done in one year. Gotta spread it out. I just have my idea about how that should be thought about before making the decisions.

No, I guess I need to relate some of what a board member replied to all the letters from Yes fans...

something along the lines of because they were more of a jazz type band than reflecting the 'African-American' roots of the rock sound they were passed over...

Like CHICAGO isn't a jazz based rock band?

And what about all the hillbillies, dopers, rebels and queers that also created rock?

What a PIG!

Ice T was not in NWA. The Arabian Prince, was on their first album, helping them with songs like Panic Zone. A bunch of the "posse" started their own gigs. Ren and DJ Yella were on the Posse album, but I dont think had much as much influence, as they did on the later albums, Straight Outta Compton, Fuck The Police, and Niggaz4life.

That said, I dont think hip hop groups should be in the RnR hall of fame.
