Yesterday, Geri and I ran a few errands in town. I had to pick up my Pioneer RT-1020L from Innovative Audio, as it had a full servicing completed on it. I love this old Pioneer, above even my other decks. While there, Geri looked around the record section and picked out a few albums for her daughter. Yes, she's into records, now, too, as I set her up with a simple system, which sounds much better than her room mate's current system. I don't think he will be pleased his system is taking a back seat to hers. Ouch!
Innovative Audio had some interesting components for sale. Gordon tempted me with a hugely discounted price on a pair of JBL L200 Studio Masters, which had just come into the store. He knocked $1,200 off the sticker price. After listening to the L300s, I'm convinced these speakers are amongst the best I've heard so far. The L200s I looked at were in phenomenal condition!
And take a look at this monster Marantz 2500 receiver rated at 250 watts per channel.
Or how about this Garrard turntable:
And tube gear:
Here's the record/media section where Mark is helping Geri pick out some albums:
Some more gear:
Nando.
