Anyone else having a problem?? After 30 years of marriage I find I'm having trouble thinking of gifts for my wife. She asks for nothing, not a clothes hound or jewelry freak (basically has everything she wants or needs - or so she says). I got a double whammy since her BDay is close to the 25th. Any ideas from the Phoenix crowd.

BTW - breached the subject of firearm training with her, didn't go over too well...

Perhaps, if she likes music like you do, a pair of tickets to an upcoming concert in a small venue. Thinking of doing that for Geri and I to see Bob Seger in March.

When in doubt, a night on the town, dinner, dancing, and waking up to roomservice in the morning is always a great gift.

Couples dance lessons, that would be a cool one.

One of these should do it. My wife raves about it. Its pricey for a toothbrush, but then again my wife is like yours don't want nothing and it makes it hard for us to get them a gift. Phillips Diamond Toothbrush......

Kinda freaky. Right before I read your post I was on the phone telling my wife I just walked into the bathroom and found her toothbrush running. She advised she was having problems with turning it on and off. Definitely in the running....do they engrave????

Cook for her! Cook a nice steak dinner, steam some veggies, get some nice wine to go with it. Women are more impressed with something you do than with something you buy and give to them (sometimes...).

And of course, a nice pair of ruby or emerald earrings afterward is a nice touch...

Hoovers suck more, and Bissell bagless even worse, which is why I have a nice Eureka F/G upright.

Why don't you just help make the meal, stay away from sports for most of the day until later, affirm to her that your love is even stronger than the day you married her and simply be her husband as you are and will be until you die?

It's none of our business if romance flares into passion, this is your holiday.

Of course, whatever you get her will be for HER and she will like that you thought of it.

Robotic vacuums are no big deal, the time and love she shares with you on a quiet day are.

By the way, Doctor Zhivago is a chick flick--I had not realized this until Linda and I watched it 20 years ago (still miss her dearly but she's eternally free of breast cancer since she left us 12/24/95) :angel10:
