what are you listening to?

The P9's external TT PSU unit went on the blink and is being serviced at Rega in California. These power supply units are individually tuned to each turntable. We shipped the PSU down there with $2k of shipping insurance!

I meant the P5, I believe it was?

LMFAO Nav, of course that is to be expected :evil4:

Michael Stanley Band - Cabin fever - First listen, as soon as I heard the opening track I knew I'd like the rest of it. Thanks Lee!

I had an RCA Victor TV just like that, a New Vista.

Still going strong too I bet :thumbright:

I did have a Kriesler Colormaster 16 tv once, but had to get rid of it due to space issues, great set though and still working well dry joints and all.

It was, but I sent if off for reuse or recycling a month back...the 19" monochrome CRT was fairly weak but it did see the end of full-power NTSC (no UHF tuner). I sent a few Sony !2" (US) Trinitrons to the transfer station for proper disposal 3 months ago and I have a 5" tubed Panasonic, two 9" Trinitrons including the first US model and a Hotpoint 14" B/W Hi-Vi from the 1950s. I USE a Sony KV-1746R and later 13" Sharp with Sony VPH-10--Q, Zenith 800 and Pro-880 CRT projectors.

I have a lot of televisions. I used to have 2 non-working vintage tube sets, a Western Auto Wizard Color 26" roundie and a B/W Truetone with a CLOCK, anti-glare screen cover and all parts by RAYTHEON.

There is nothing like build quality from back in the day, solid and long lasting.

Getting back to listening, I've got the two 3-ways by the bed and the TV mono audio to create a sort of AC3 type setup and the Pioneer DV-333 DVD player is integrated in the stereo system and I was watching Disc 1 of Eagles Farewell Tour I Live in Melbourne.

What can you say...

SHEILAS! OY!

Yeah buddy! Hey I'd like to see some of your CRT projectors, very interested in them. Do they use bulbs or just a tube projection thingy?

I picked up a loaner Rega RP8 with an Ortofon MC3 cartridge this afternoon. a nice stand-in while waiting to get back to my P9 deck and Benz cartridge. I should have the P9 back next week - the TTPSU power supply unit is being serviced.

Good memory - yes I traded in the P5 last September for the P9. I was always intending to move up to the P9, but not so soon. Rega forced my hand when they came out with the RP10 last year and discontinued the P9.

SLF, the driver that speaker lab sold for the bass bins was not near as good as the Crites is for it . And with a 2" wood horn and BMS 4592 they are simply insane now.

I believe that. I upgraded mine to the Crites tweeter - big smooth improvement over the original Western Digital tweeter - before passing them onto to someone with more room than the basement space I had them in.
