Don't make your friends and family have to deal with you being lazy and trying to straighten out the messes WE LEAVE BEHIND. One of my best friends keeled over dead on Friday and we had warned him about not having a Will and a Power Of Attorney prepared "Just in Case"..

I know we all think we are invincible and we are going to live forever but in all actuality, it NEVER works like that. So me and the wife have been trying to get his affairs in order and it is a shit load of work. I miss him and am heartbroken from losing a best bro but at the same time I want to kick him in the ass. It costs about $3 grand to be cremated, add ambulance bills and all the rest of the incidentals that come with the situation.

1. Do you have insurance?? Where are the policies???

2. Do you have a Will?? Is it with the above paperwork??

3. What do you want your family/Friends to do with you?? Did you leave some directions/wishes with the above paperwork?

4. Do you have pets? WTF are we supposed to do with them? Is their vet file and shots up to date?

5. What do we do with the vehicles you own or the bank owns??

6. Do you have a stash of Porn you don't want anybody to know about?? At 70, you should be done with that shit anyway (LOL).

Those are jut a couple things we are having to deal with and remember, your loved ones really don't mind cleaning up your affairs as long as you were prepared. It comes with the territory.

Be prepared, YOU OWE IT TO YOUR FAMILY.

Yeah, us old farts tend to collect STUFF... Why is our stuff junk and their junk is STUFF???

I have pared down over the last several years so it won't be bad. It really is a problem for the guys who rent and you have limited time to clear it out or pay another month or 2 in rent.

Regardless of where my crap goes to my parents purchased a burial policy for me when I was a toddler. My refrigerator box will have fine accoutrements and I will be dumped in a pristine place before the rest of the world trashes it as well.

Perry, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, thanks for reminding many of us that things need to be in order. It's not cool to have your family and friends deal with your shit when you're dead and gone and don't care anymore...not cool at all!!

I could have done without hearing about a 70 year old mans porn collection tho!!

They'll come to mine, they're gonna pour me in the river, 2 holes up from where we poured Mom in. Then we can both harass their flies and lures so they don't catch any fish....

It's been a while for this thread but I had to point out that for $3,000 you are supposed to give them a Viking cremation.

Put them on their bike and put it on a raft then set it ablaze on a lake.
