I got back my Teac A3300 from a prolonged servicing and it is performing splendidly. But I realized that there was a preexisting issue I did not inform the tech about.

A previous owner had replaced one of the reel tables and it's fine but the other one which is original, is not. It is worn and has damage that prevents the hold down claws from staying in one position. It goes round and round rather than just 1/4 turn.

I saw an e-bay vendor selling some off a Teac 4-40 and they look identical. Does anyone, Sam perhaps, know if they would fit my 1'st generation A3300?

Sam might have one...I have a search saved on eBay for you, and I have a stray VU meter that might be of help if you should lose one of yours I think.

Sam advised me that one like those I spotted on e-bay would fit my deck so I bought one. Since he also indicated the asking price was comparatively cheap, I thought I should act soon rather than later.
