Excellent, a source for high priced tubes for our gear.
What do you think they will make? KT88-6550, EL34, maybe preamp tubes for the guitar amps? It isn't hifi that is the driving force.

6550, 6L6 and EL34 will probably be top of the list. High volume units worth tooling up for. Might even be the same tube (some have several names) but I just recall those three were the high volume ones we sold.

From WE:

“Labour rates in the United States are much higher than in Russia or China. Additionally, the materials we use are of a higher quality. So, the price will be higher."

“For those wondering, however, our plan is not to take advantage and charge an absurd premium for new tubes."

"..... manufacturing a miniature dual triode like the 12AX7 is significantly easier and less labour-intensive than a 300B, for example.”

I'm wondering how much labour goes into making a tube?

Individually, maybe a lot, but mass produced by machinery, then pressing the START button wouldn't be that hard, surely!
