TIS or MPS's?

In the WO driver board's input section is the option to go with TIS97's, MPSA92/93's, and a few other variants.

Just curious to get some opinions here... which do you go with on a build? Does it make a sonic (or otherwise) difference?

Joe's correct. The MPSA18 is a dedicated audio part and much lower noise, plus it's still in production.
