In another forum I posted this offer so as to allow some people that can not afford the MRL speed tape to set their machines (Reel decks 1/4") up to the correct speed after installing a new belt or oiling or even new pinch rollers.
What I have is a speed tape made with a 3KHz sine wave on a 1/2 track machine ATR60-2 at 0 Vu with a 250 nWb/M flux density using a 35-90 Maxell UD XL I tape.
These tapes were obtained from a person that used them once or twice. The speed signal goes from one leader to the other. They are available at 7.5 IPS and 15 IPS. I am asking $30 including shipping.
I am not trying to compete with MRL but as the line reads- these are secondary alignment tapes as in for use on an everyday basis made from a machine that was just calibrated and checked out to speed specs. The resultant wow and flutter measured after I made this tape is .021%.
