Hi Guys - Been a while; circling back to another (early 4-fin version) PL-400 that came my way. Long story short is I'm building it quasi-comp, w/ a new White Oak control board, filter caps, all new outputs from Joe (ON MJ21196G‎). It came to me with the blue LED board installed already. And of course, got the DC protect board in there as well now. Safety first, lol.

Prior to installing the new outputs however, I pulled the driver transistors, and of course 1 of the 4 tested bad ( all 4 are Motorola SJ2741 ). Augh. So, looking for a proper set of drivers. Any pointers to a set? Is it OK to simply use 4 more of the MJ21196G's, or is someone able to point me to something better?

Thanks! Dave

You only need 2 Dave, for the bottom row of column 2 and 4 with column 1 being closest to the transformer.

And thanks to @laatsch55 , we have ignition, lol. Got the drivers installed, amp biased to .350 mvDC, sounds amazing. Now the meters, that's another story. New thread on the way.
