I am working on an SX-580 and it is missing the Loudness silver button cover. There are a couple of buttons on the auction site, but they look pretty trashed.

Anyone have a Pioneer SX that they are parting out?

Please PM me.

Thanks

Bill

OK Bill, I think I had one located on an old CT-F4242, but it wasn't faceted like that one....

Thanks Lee,

for those of us that graduated from bad public schools

Definition of facet. 1 :a small plane surface (as on a cut gem) — see brilliant illustration. 2 :any of the definable aspects that make up a subject (as of contemplation) or an object (as of consideration) Each facet of the problem requires careful attention.

I have a 580, it works great though except for the FM stereo. Prolly an IC. It's worthy of repair.

Have you tried simply cleaning the desert of dust that eventually covers the boards? I think I took out one of the Pioneer marked ICs assigned to the FM section spraying at some point I get the impression from a friend. PA3001? Been a while since I had it on the table.

It's only 15-20 decent watts per channel. Don't go overboard, those little Pioneers aren't usually a lot of trouble.
