(Ronks) -- Police in Lancaster County say a horse pulling a buggy is dead after being shot by someone in a passing vehicle.
Five people were inside the buggy when the shooting occurred last night in Ronks.
The car didn't stop after what sounded like a firecracker, and the horse was discovered to be injured when the buggy arrived at a farm about a mile away. It died before a veterinarian could arrive.
The horse suffered a bullet wound to the left side of its chest.

If there was any truth to the reality show Amish Mafia send them after them, hmmmm Gang Bangers vs Amish Mafia. lol New program for next season?

See how well they pull a plow and a wagon.

To a lot of these families and even just horse people, these horses are more than just a means of living, (a very important part of living to them) they are a part of the family as would be your dog or cat.

I have had a dog pull a sled with kids with no lights, but I was right next to the dog helping, the kids loved it.

But I would never expect your cat or my dog to be in a drive by shooting.

Christ, why don't we shoot at people driving by that we don't think look the way we think they should? It just ain't right.

Hell, I don't miss what I am shooting at, these people(?) do

My guess: young rednecks + pickup + beer + guns. We English are to be pitied, for the Amish have a better way. Imagine a world run by the Amish - I know I'd sign up.

Were al her for teh fun, the hell with teh speling

Sick puppy to do that to a horse. Wonder what has gotten into people these days. There is no personalization any more. Witness the "knock out" game that is in the news lately. Very sick example of the depersonalization in society today. Everything is like a video game to these societal misfits.

Closer than that Jim, in my humble opinion. Something special happens when you click with a horse, like ancient intelligence that is just amused with the human race....
