You phase linear guys might not like hearing this but from first hand knowledge my sunfire signature series Bob carver 400w@8 800w@4 x 5channels all driven will smoke any pl700....btw I have owned and built several nice pl700 for customers.

Good discussion, you Sunfire guys may not like hearing this but - Let's not forget that the Phase Linear 700 and the Sunfire Signature were designed by the same guy, fifty years apart.
You can like the Sunfire Signature and in fifty years, see how it compares to the latest and greatest of the year 2060 amplifiers.
In any case, I can buy two, maybe three Phase Linear 700B amplifiers for the cost of a single Sunfire Signature...
