Diode cross over

Hi
I have bought a adjustable soldering iron. It does not work.
The first piece in the circuit is some sort of diode

I suspect this may be the issue

It labeled RS155
About 9 mm or .335 of and 4 mm .230 high

Any help would appreciated in getting info on it

It has three connections so am a bit confused

Probably cut one lead off Glen, and using only 2 of the 4 diodes packaged inside. That would be my guess
