Just arrived and tested ! O.K. !!!
For me it's a good cassette deck !
Now I have only to spray paint the top cover . ( Normal procedure ) .
What do you think about this deck ?

Here it's written that is at the 8th position . Have I to believe in this score ?

I'm glad to see you've bought one of the excellent, but often overlooked, Denon decks. I looked at the list, saw #9 and wondered if that was mine. I ran downstairs to see, but my Denon is only the DRM-510, I'm very happy with it, however, as I have been with most of my Denon decks.

One question ( only a curiosity ) :
Do you know the " real " manufacturer of mechanic parts ?
For me is Aiwa or Alps ( or Denon itself ? ), but I'm not sure .
I can't see any label .

I have no idea, but had always assumed it was Denon itself. Sometimes, you can recognize another manufacturer's design philosophy in another brand's product - thus all the debate about who really made Realistic gear (for example).

Anyone who has been around enough conversing about top ten analog audio cassette decks would have a different opinion of what constitutes their top ten list. I would leave it more to the technicians who have seen most of the best on their test bench.

Looks to be a nice deck, Marco. I have decks that weigh more than twice as much as that particular model, however.

It was a curiosity ; I know that these scores are not the truth .
I wanted only an opinion from you .
Anyway this deck has 3 motors , 3 heads , dual capstan and it " sounds ".
It's also ready for remote and it has the tape size feature .
