I have a couple old DAB USB dongles with the RTL2832U chips on them. Here in the US they're mainly used for receiving a wide frequency range on a computer using Software Defined Radio software. Lots of old YouTube videos showing how.
This technology has gotten progressively better over time. Many very sophisticated receivers and transmitters are now available that owe their lineage back to those little DAB dongles with the RTL chips. The DAB dongles still are available of course.

Here in the US there are no commercial DAB broadcasts, but some use DAB receivers for listening to everything from shortwave, FM, AM, weather radio, police radio, to baby monitors in the neighborhood. Easily configured using software.
Pretty good audio quality. The Rotel looks real interesting. Especially the interior shot. Bet it sounds amazing. I can listen to FM Stereo all day if it's Classic Rock and they keep the interruptions to a minimum. Enjoy your Rotel. Very nice!

After further tests you can consider this device as a good "european" car radio ,
without power amp . Dab section has a dynamic range control for the night .
The sound is very clear , but probably FM is better . Difficult to say .
I can receive these stations .( more or less )
