I bought this rather cheap. Description is powers up ; but music is garbled on output. So I may trick this one out. Change the DAC chip and a few other things. I paid almost nothing for it so I thought I would put it in the to do pile. LOL Will see if I can improve it over a stock one.

If'n it's anything like the one Jerry used to make my Krafwerk tapes, it's worth messing with! :thumbleft: :fart:

If you can figure out where the output section is and what makes it up (like an op amp, maybe?) I'd shoot for that first as the simple fix. But from there start looking ...

Yes I haven't even tried to sell any. I have a box full and I watch the ebay for them. I have some of their best power supplies. I also watch for their CDPs you never see them or the Onix up for sale. I'm running PT 1 & 3 right now on the Onix deck.

Interesting you mention the PT 1 & 3, I just read Mark's feedback in Stereophile Jan 2001 I had laying around, there was some tech babble from Peter Madnick and Keith Allsop there too. Nice rigs! Did you get the 1A and 3A versions?
