Re: Sanyo Plus Series P20 and A20

One of these days I'll take an inventory to figure out what I have. :albino:

Re: Sanyo Plus Series P20 and A20

allow me to start..

stack o junk here..

stack o junk there...

stack o junk over there...

(agg... don't report me to that hoarders show... heheh)

Crazy tho.. a lot of the makeup of all the stacks of junk are cassette decks. Couple of Reel to Reels, one of which I'd like to take another crack at aligning but I really do need one of those MRL tapes to do it right.

Here are 21 of my cassette decks. I really don't know how many I have. :albino:

Here are a few more components in one of my spare bedrooms.

Yeah they pretty much just sit there so if they work it is probably irrelevant as I can't rotate everything into service in my lifetime anyway. :rabbit:

Re: Sanyo Plus Series P20 and A20

When I finally get my dream setupI'll only need the 2-700B's the 2 Spec 2's and 2 Spec 1's. That will do it for power. that being said, Joe at White Oak Audio is reworking a G.Randy Sloan L-Mosfet design that were 400 watt mono blocs, well, I found a killer deal on some very large toroids that would give me +115, -115 rail voltage. The original 400 watt design called for +,- 85 volts.........

Didn't know Sony made anything with meters that big. Are those in the bottom Citation's?

Yep it is a Sony TA-N77ES amp sporting 220wpc into 8 ohms.

The HK are Citation 16'a's sporting 150 wpc into 8 ohms. I have them mono blocked for more than 500 wpc into 8 ohms. You have to move a few jumpers under the hood and re adjust the dc offset to mono/ un-mono block them. These HK are among the best sounding amps that I own. I am sure they could probably stand to be brought up to spec too. :thumbright:

This may be morbid but when you die leave me all of your equipment. Tell me when you have the will drawn up. After that be very careful when you open the door. LOL

See Bug, you just thought Pops was the only one obsessed!

I never said you were obsessed! I actually think it's pretty cool that you get to do something you enjoy so much...you just always play that stinkin song that I'm not too fond of

This is better than a Geraldo Rivera documentary. Only, this time we get to see the motherlode. Web, if Geri only knew there were others out there who collect vintage components, she would understand the meaning of life. You have so many quality pieces, it's almost a shame not to be using them. My intention is to, eventually, devote my downstairs recroom to a working stereo demo room. That's an amazing collection!

What's going on with the upswing in " kitty on stereo" pictures? There are kitties on turntables, kitties on speakers, kitties on cassete decks, kitties pawing tape reel leader. And now, kitty on amp. This is a strange phenomena. I have a kitty, too, but, no one wants to see kitty in litterbox pictures.
