    Klipsch - share your thoughts

right now I’m using a Jolida integrated tube amp which uses a pair of Tung-Sol 6550 per channel. (50wpc) pretty darn sweet on top but doesn’t have a lot of control over those woofers. I also have a Fosgate Audionics amp and a Pioneer SX-1280 I’ll rotate in at some point. As far as I know the...

Just grabbed a pair of KG5.5. These are so damn good they make the little Snell EII’s sound broken. It’s funny these speakers are the very first thing I mentioned in this thread.

    Understanding Ground Loops...

I remember back when I was performing A/V installations, the biggest problems I would run into with ground loops were typically solved by grounding the CATV system. Had this customer that had scrolling lines on her TV using the component video input. I noticed there was no ground on her CATV...

I had a pair of those and they were pretty sweet. They were too big for space I had at the time. You’re right- that version doesn’t show up typically

Audio Precision 2700 series end of service

I don’t know if this matters to anyone here, but if you own one these, there’s about a year left on AP’s ability to service these. For more info, I would suggest contacting AP. Take Care

Howdy folks- hope all is well. It’s funny looking back on this thread. I really was all over the place. I entertained rebuilding my Snell EII’s for many years, so I finally pulled the trigger. No regrets.

I’m a little intimidated by gear much over 75-100 lbs. My neighbor gave me a Mirage BPS300 subwoofer last week. I know 110lbs isn’t the biggest thing out there but it was a struggle getting it upstairs. My back ain’t what it used to be. I did finally get around to listening to a few of the new...

Wow…can’t believe how the time is flying. I was looking back here because I restarted the speaker quest. My wife had a battle with breast cancer - cancer free now though!

A Question That Has Burned In My Mind For Years...

I like to think of it this way: move your handlike you are bouncing a ball pretty fast. now without changing your speed, move your whole arm (with hand) up and down at slow rate. Your hand then will be moving at the same rate, but also rising up and down slowly with your whole arm. If you...

    Going retro to an extreme!

nice work! Same reproducer on my VV-VIII. On another note, I was told that it is better to brake and leave tension on the motor springs rather then let them run out due to risk of dislodging internally.

i think this is why I’m really digging these Klipsch RP-600m’s because they are not a typical Klipsch speaker. Tweeter in a waveguide- not a compression horn.
