What cartridge are you using?

Still running the AT3600 with the fancy LP Gear Carbon tip on the Technics. I might get an OM30 stylus for that Concorde and put it on there and the move the Carbon to the Rek. View attachment 88606
The Carbon Fidelity is a great cart, I run it on the TD 165

Testing the stock cartridge that came with the audio technica turntable, as I immediately replaced it with the VM540ML cart.
The stock cart is an ATN95E.
Compared to the Carbon Fidelity 3600, they are both bonded elliptical styluses. Will be interesting once some hours have been put on it.
(Edit: The 95E has much less Sibilance playing the Sade - Diamond Life Album, The 3600 tended to splatter a bit with this rather bright LP)

Hey Derek, I know the toilets spin in the opposite direction in your part of the world, do the Turntables do the same???? :)
Yep, after about 10 joints of indica.
Our toilets dont spin at all. They throw the water straight down. Which is great after an after grog bog :evil4:

Can someone please figure out why thorens turntables wont spin at all when running on inverter power?

its a boron cantilever
You got nothing to lose, its already fucked.

I don't think so.

I'm running the 2M U-Turn Black cart, it's bad ass.
I just fixed one of those for my neighbor down the street Perry.

He did the same thing. Called me up and asked me to come over to see why his table was not playing like it used to. The cantilever was bent straight down toward the record surface.

Next he ordered a replacement cartridge since I told him he either needed to replace the stylus assembly or get a new cartridge. I told him I would do either replacement for him once he got the parts. (my recommendation was the new, pluggable stylus)

Well he got the replacement cartridge on order and it came in. He got impatient and attempted the install himself. In that process, he broke one of the 34 AWG tonearm wires off.

I ended up taking his turntable base back to my lab, replacing the tone arm wires and installing, aligning his new cartridge. He is happy now and he owes me...
