    Vintage Audio Exchange [N.C.]

Looks like a really great place. If I had a spare few grand lying around, I'd have to have that Thorens changer. I've only seen a few pictures of those, but every time I see one I want one.

Any of you Phase Linear fans in Missouri?

Considering I'm from St. Louis, I'm pretty sure you were right the first time.

Re-issues have been good to me with this vinyl revival. Anyone else?

Oh yeah, plenty of good, cheap vinyl is out there. Garage sale season is upon us right now, looking forward to a couple local guys who seem to host one every year where the pickings are plentiful. But, I always have that list in my head of things I really want that are a bit tougher to come...

Any of you Phase Linear fans in Missouri?

If so, I don't know if this is a good price ($550 or best offer for a Phase Linear 400 and 4000 pre-amp), but it sure looks like a nice condition pair: http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/5582176090.html Just thought I'd let y'all know about it. I know nothing of the seller, just happened...

Re-issues have been good to me with this vinyl revival. Anyone else?

Seems there are a big pile of old standards that get reissued constancy by multiple labels and across all sorts of formats... mono., stereo, 45rpm, etc... But other things never seem to see the light of day. However, the last year or so has been good to me for getting a few reissues I've wanted...

Anyone know how to fix a chipped pulley on a Rek-O-Kut Rondine?

Thanks guys. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. My main goals were to have the wiring solid with everything properly grounded and humm/buzz free, keep the rumble to a minimum, and make it look presentable enough for it to come up out of the basement, so I'm feeling good on all points...

Anyone know how to fix a chipped pulley on a Rek-O-Kut Rondine?

It was a really fun process. It motivated me to finally learn how to solder and I learned a lot about turntables. And now I have a box of spare parts for the inevitable next project.

Anyone know how to fix a chipped pulley on a Rek-O-Kut Rondine?

Well, finally got the plinth completed... Everything is spinning as it should, not a bit of hum. So...time to bring it up out of the basement: All that's left now if the inevitable tweaking and deciding just the right cartridge for this beast. The Shure SC35C working just fine for now...
