Have you seen the Motorola symbol from the 40's or 50's? It wouldn't make sense to counterfeit a transistor they never made. If the Chinee were going to waste time and money faking it, they would use a common part number.

They are showing 1985 date codes, if you believe that. I would say it's not very likely they are counterfeit. Probably an OEM's part number. I have a late 70's D.A.T.A. book for bipolar transistors I can check in a few days.
