LOL not old nuff for Geritol yet! Yep, new build here.. I did a 400 for him, plus a PL 2000 preamp total redux that I was really impressed with the results. Turns out that those old carbon resistors do make a difference in the noise floor. I did all of the buffer amp circuit with new metal films, lkg series nichi's for the electrolytics and wima's for the non polarized ceramics and whatnots. Put a browndog set of OPA 2134's in for the RC4136 and deoxit'd the stuff out of her... came out nice.

    DC Protect

This was done the other day. Yeah the diodes.. they came in all funky-bent for standing them up on end, so I did the best I could to straighten em out. Might just do the "move the diodes to the xformer and run TWO wires to the DCP" trick anyway...

    Errm... Ey Vatos!!!!

    When I say "Parade Rest"...

The transformer gets dropped in the process. Whole lot easier than having to deal with a 50 pound dead-weight while working on one.

Man.. tight fit on the boards! Must be the series II chassis being a lil shorter? Looks like a good alignment tho, so no probs there. Time for lunch...
